National Read Across America Day falls on Dr. Seuss’ birthday, March 2nd. Many schools in the area and around the U.S. will celebrate this day by having a birthday party for Dr. Seuss and/or sharing the love of reading by reading together.
Not only can this holiday be celebrated at school, but can also be celebrated at home during family time. All you have to do is JUST read! What a great and free opportunity to spend time together. I feel that reading with my child is one of our favorite ways of bonding. Your local library is a great source to finding a great book.
